A fantastic client recently approached us at Brother’s Keeper Handyman Service with a unique request – a large daybed-sized swing needed to be hung on his back porch. The swing was a hefty piece, weighing in at around 125 lbs., and the structure of the porch ceiling was a mystery. We took on the challenge of this porch swing installation by cutting into the tongue and groove pine ceiling and reinforcing the existing 2×6 framing with 4×4 cross members to accommodate the mounting hardware.
